Artist Perspective
None of us are wired to live in isolation, actively limiting our surroundings, being entirely self-sufficient. Mental illness often rears its head as one’s only companion. In this unexpected, unwanted reality, there are new opportunities to step into the light. We as a nation and individuals have overcome hardship before, and we will again. As I experience an overwhelming sense of uncertainty, I return to my formative foundation of drawing for stability and comfort. Cocktails help too.
